How does the candid event photography process work?

My process puts your comfort as a priority, and there are no surprises.

  • You’ll fill out my contact form on my website and I’ll email you back in the next 24 hours! We set up a time for a discovery call. This is our get to know each other call. I’ll ask you about your hopes & needs for photos while I gain an understanding of your brand & marketing goals. Then I share with you about my packages & advice for putting together a visual brand story. We’ll talk dates AND ideal locations!

    Then, you’ll get a link for easy contract signing & payment for a portion of your investment. We schedule a Strategy call to plan the in depth details a few weeks before our session date.

  • Once everything is signed, sealed, and delivered, we’ll scout locations & get scheduled with studios if need be. I’ll get you started on a Pinterest mood board to get your vibe.

  • Every client gets a Strategy call & I reeeeeaaaally get to know you, your brand & we plan plan plan & dream up fun ways to tell your story. We chat about your ideal customer, your process, colors, core values & FAQs, website or social media needs & get to work dreaming & creating.

    I will build a document that marries our vision with lists of exact shots, every prop, wardrobe & all the session day details. We pin, text and email until it’s shoot day, adding any details or ideas to our shared document.

  • I come with the document & my gear, good vibes, music. You come knowing the plan, your outfits we’ve discussed & your bad ass self. Maybe you got your hair & makeup done somewhere, maybe you did it yourself or maybe that was an add on service I helped you coordinate. (Maybe you added on a wardrobe coaching session I helped you coordinate too).

    Point is, you’re ready. No surprises.

    I will also guide you on how to sit or stand or jump or smile or not smile or reach or hold a prop & we have a blast because damnit this is fun & you are a total beautiful bad ass.

  • I always send sneak peeks within a few days for you to start utilizing because OMG who has time for waiting for all the photos with all the editing! In the meantime, I’ll be fully editing your gallery. Delivery time is typically 3ish weeks, depending!

Investment: $350 for 1 hour
($75/hr for each additional hour)

  • Variety of portrait and landscape images to be utilized for multiple marketing avenues

  • Includes images most aligned with brand goals for the event and based off our collaborative strategy call

I bring more to this than a camera and a high hospitality process. 

I spent 20 years as a personal trainer and health coach before I picked up a lens, which means two decades of learning how to hold space with women in vulnerable moments — how to guide, encourage and gently push, without ever making it weird.

Turns out that's also what it takes to get someone to relax in front of a camera and let their real self show up.
