Empowered Tattoo Anniversary Party

Sam from Empowered Tattoo in Asheville, NC invited me to photograph his community,  as part of his community, seeing as he’s the artist behind my almost arm sleeve of ink. He was celebrating 3 years of the tattoo shop serving customers and wanted me to document the celebration.

It was important to him that I capture the people, the community, the ones who make it all possible. I loved being a fly on the wall, noticing the care of the artists and the connections through the art that brought them all together that day.
