Lifetherapy Pop Up Vendor Event

This event formed what would become known as Arise Images. Lynette Lovelace hired me to highlight the details of a high end pop up vendor event she was hosting at her beautiful home. There were about 10 bad ass female entrepreneurs with successful businesses vending that day as customers walked through the beautiful products laid out in stunning display. I was to capture still images of the day as well as some bts video clips, including a short intro from each entrepreneur.

What I found was baffling. When I went to get photo or video of the ladies, they would want to scoot out of the way or hide and just have me photograph their products. These were highly successful, bad ass ladies and I thought they were amazing…but they didn’t want to be highlighted. I could not help but notice my feeling that they were missing out on a huge opportunity to get in front of the camera and tell the story of their brands. I left that day feeling frustrated for us women, curious about the problem, and determined to help us ladies feel more confident getting in front of the camera to connect with our audiences.
